Strategic Campaigns Specialist

This is a 12 month fixed term contract. Are you at the forefront of communications and engagement, skilled in working with communities to understand what matters and using this to develop and deliver innovative campaigns telling compelling stories and driving meaningful behaviour change? Are you interested in working with communities and stakeholders on air quality, and able to plan and lead engagement events? We are looking for an experienced communications and engagement professional who is keen to work with us on the air quality agenda in Sheffield. You’ll be confident working and engaging with communities, advising senior officers and elected Members, at ease speaking with the communities you serve and calm under pressure. In this role you will work closely with the wider communications, public health and air quality teams as well as executive directors and senior managers. You will be skilled and confident in engaging with communities to develop communications campaigns and provide high-quality communications for the Council to a range of stakeholder audiences. Whether it’s a focus group, community event, communications plan or video content for social media, you’ll have strong judgement and the skills to go with it. Full-time employees work 37 hours for 52 weeks of the year and we offer a generous holiday entitlement. If you are appointed to this role, your starting salary will be at the bottom of the grade. If you provide payslip evidence that your basic pay is greater than the bottom of the grade, we will consider starting you at the point of minimum advantage within the grade.
