Summary: The Strategic Buyer is responsible for executing spot purchases of materials, managing vendor relationships, and ensuring compliance with procurement processes. This role involves performing commercial activities related to low and medium value purchases and liaising with various internal and external stakeholders to meet operational needs. The position requires a proactive approach to resolving issues associated with contracting and expediting. A background in contracting or buying, particularly in the oil and gas sector, is preferred.

Key Responsibilities:

• Execute spot purchases of various types of materials including spare parts and equipment.
• Perform commercial activities associated with low and medium value purchases including spot bidding, price and contractual terms and conditions negotiations.
• Ensure day-to-day operational needs of supported clients are timely met.
• Liaise with clients, vendors, and other internal functions (i.e., Law, Warehouse, Supply Chain, Inventory Analyst) to resolve various issues associated to contracting, technical and expediting.
• Manage relationship with vendors in conjunction with clients.
• Ensure all activities associated with the execution and management of spot orders are in compliance with process and procedures and applicable laws.

Key Skills:

• Bachelor’s degree in business or science.
• 3+ year experience in contracting or buying (O&G sector preferred).
