Summary: The role of Storage Senior SAN SME / Architect involves leading the design, planning, and execution of OpenShift environments and migration strategies. The position requires expertise in building scalable and secure OpenShift platforms, as well as managing workload and application migrations, particularly with VMware and Pure Storage integration. The candidate will also be responsible for ensuring high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities within the architecture. Collaboration with development and operations teams is essential to align with business requirements and maintain documentation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design OpenShift target architecture, including cluster topology, networking, and storage.
- Establish best practices for cluster setup, including multi-zone and multi-region deployments.
- Ensure high availability, fault tolerance, and disaster recovery capabilities.
- Assess current infrastructure, applications, and workloads for migration readiness.
- Develop detailed migration strategies covering containerization, workload movement, and data migration.
- Execute migration plans with minimal disruption and downtime.
- Identify and manage risks throughout the migration lifecycle.
- Design OpenShift solutions integrated with VMware environments.
- Utilize VMware tools such as vSphere, vCenter, and NSX to support deployments.
- Configure and manage Pure Storage platforms (FlashArray, FlashBlade) for scalable and high-performance workloads.
- Ensure performance and compatibility across OpenShift, VMware, and storage systems.
- Design and implement CI/CD pipelines aligned with OpenShift environments.
