Summary: We are seeking an experienced Storage Engineer for a 6-month contract with a global investment client. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining storage infrastructure, ensuring data is securely stored and backed up. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with NetApps and Pure Storage, as well as automation scripting skills. This position is hybrid, requiring three days a week onsite in Mayfair.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement storage solutions for on-premises, cloud, and hybrid environments
- Ensure data storage meets compliance, security, and regulatory requirements
- Evaluate new storage technologies and recommend improvements
- Troubleshoot storage and backup system issues
- Create and manage backup and disaster recovery strategies to prevent data loss
- Monitor storage systems performance and optimise capacity and costs
- Automate backup processes to meet recovery time and recovery point objectives
- Document processes and train internal teams on storage best practices
Key Skills:
- Minimum of 5 years of experience in backup and storage management as a hands-on architect
- Extensive experience working with NetApp and Pure Storage systems (SAN, NAS, Object storage)
- Extensive experience writing automation scripting with Python, PowerShell, Ansible, and Git
- Deep understanding of storage capacity planning and performance optimisation

We are searching for an experience Storage Engineer on behalf of our Global Investment client. This role is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining and migration of storage infrastructure to ensure company data is stored securely, efficiently, and properly backed up. A successful candidate is a strong, hands-on engineer with some experience designing architecture solutions for one-time data migrations for NetApps, immediately when critical systems need attention during operating hours. Strong hands-on implementation and maintenance, and design of architecturally scalable, secure, and HLD storage solutions. Specialist in working with specific tools (NetApps and Pure Storage) and automation Scripting.
