Summary: We are looking for a skilled Storage/Backup Engineer to join a significant Defence sector programme in Portsmouth. The role involves managing and optimizing enterprise storage and backup solutions in a secure environment. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with NetApp storage solutions and enterprise backup technologies. Key Responsibilities:
- Administer, support, and optimize enterprise storage and backup solutions.
- Ensure maximum availability, performance, and resilience across complex environments.
- Engage with stakeholders and troubleshoot issues effectively.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience with NetApp storage solutions (essential).
- Proven background in enterprise backup technologies and data protection.
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure environments.
- Knowledge of storage performance tuning, replication, and disaster recovery.
- Ability to work effectively within secure and highly regulated environments.
- Strong troubleshooting and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Desirable: Experience within Defence, Government, or other secure sectors.
- Desirable: Knowledge of VMware, Windows, and Linux infrastructure.
- Desirable: Exposure to automation and infrastructure tooling.

We are seeking an experienced Storage/Backup Engineer to join a high-profile programme within the Defence sector. The successful contractor will be responsible for the administration, support and optimisation of enterprise storage and backup solutions, ensuring maximum availability, performance and resilience across complex environments.

- Strong experience with NetApp storage solutions (essential)
- Proven background in enterprise backup technologies and data protection
- Experience supporting large-scale infrastructure environments

Candidates must be eligible to undergo UKSV Security Check (SC) clearance, with sponsorship available for suitable applicants who do not currently hold active clearance.
