Summary: The Storage and Backup Engineer role requires an SC Cleared professional to manage and troubleshoot EMC storage systems and SAN switches, ensuring effective backup processes. The position involves daily administration tasks, project support, and on-call responsibilities in a dynamic environment. Candidates must have a strong background in infrastructure support and be willing to work collaboratively with a team. The role mandates the use of an FCSA Accredited Umbrella Company for employment.

Key Responsibilities:

• Investigate storage problems on EMC storage with Brocade or Cisco SAN switches.
• Perform day-to-day Storage & Backup Administration.
• Assist with project and transition work as required.
• Provide BAU support of the SAN environment.
• Manage backups, including end-to-end configuration and rerunning failed backups.
• Conduct daily checks and maintain documentation.
• Implement changes according to client change management processes.
• Participate in disaster recovery testing and problem management/resolution using SNOW.

Key Skills:

• Experience with HP and EMC Storage.
• Knowledge of Brocade and Cisco SAN switches.
• Familiarity with Storage Management software and SAN Switch Management commands.
• Experience with Veritas Netbackup and SNOW Incident and Change Management.
• Understanding of EMC Networker and HP Data Protector.
• Aptitude for Infrastructure support and willingness to learn new technologies.
