Key Responsibilities:

  • Issue permits under Safe Systems of Work (SSoW) to nominated personnel under set procedures.
  • Support HSE related to mechanical construction activities.
  • Coordinate all work activities in daily meetings with mechanical supervisors.

Key Skills:

  • IOSH Managing Safely or working towards a NEBOSH General certificate.
  • Broad knowledge of engineering practices.
  • Previous SSOW coordinator/control of work experience.
  • Good working knowledge of process operations and SSOW procedures.
  • Ability to maintain accurate, concise, legible records in the SSOW office.
  • Knowledge of mechanical & electrical isolation processes and procedures.
  • Previous experience working in a COMAH site environment.
  • CDM compliance knowledge.
  • Self-motivated with demonstrable levels of drive, energy, and resilience.
  • Effective communication skills with the ability to communicate with all levels of personnel.
