SRE Performance Testing Analyst

Summary: The SRE Performance Testing Analyst role involves designing and implementing performance testing strategies, monitoring system performance, and optimizing infrastructure. Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement performance testing strategies using tools like JMeter, Gatling, or LoadRunner.
• Monitor and analyse system performance metrics to identify bottlenecks and optimize infrastructure.
• Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines to support performance testing and deployment.
• Collaborate with development teams to ensure applications meet performance and reliability standards.
• Automate operational tasks using tools such as Ansible, Terraform, or Python scripts.
• Build and maintain monitoring and alerting systems (e.g., Prometheus, Grafana).
• Participate in incident response and conduct root cause analysis for performance-related issues.
• Document performance benchmarks, testing procedures, and system configurations.

Key Skills:

• Experience with performance testing tools (JMeter, Gatling, LoadRunner).
• Strong understanding of system performance metrics and optimization techniques.
• Proficiency in CI/CD pipeline development and maintenance.
• Knowledge of automation tools (Ansible, Terraform, Python).
