Summary: The role of SR163 Principal Contractor Site Manager at Rubicon Consulting involves overseeing site activities to ensure successful project delivery within a 5-month contract near Colchester and Ipswich. Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver site activities and support the project team in construction works.
- Accountable for successful project delivery including initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning, and handover/close out.
- Safely and sustainably deliver construction works.
- Manage site resources to ensure compliant delivery of construction activities.
- Produce required records in a timely manner.
- Effectively manage and care for the workforce.
- Support the Project Manager/Project Director in project delivery.
- Provide management and leadership to inspire a multi-disciplinary team.
- Determine appropriate means to satisfy customer/project requirements regarding time, cost, quality, scope, risk, and benefits.
Key Skills:
- National Grid SR163 authorisation required, along with HSG47 and SEATS.
- 5 – 10 years’ experience in Civils.
- Experience working on a variety of project types (desirable).
- Proficient in O365 (desirable).
- Current driving license (desirable).
- Holds CSCS and SSSTS or equivalent (desirable).

Role Summary
- Deliver site activities and to support Project team to deliver the construction works
- To have sectional/partial accountability for successful project delivery including; initiation, planning, design, delivery, monitoring, commissioning and handover/close out
- Safely and sustainably deliver the construction works
- Manage site resource to deliver the construction activity Monitor to ensure works are delivered compliantly
- Produce required records in a timely manner
- Effectively manage and care for the people delivering the work
- Support/Assists the Project manager/Project Director to deliver the project
- A change agent that provides management, leadership and inspires a multi-disciplinary team to achieve a common goal
- To determine the most appropriate means of satisfying customer/project requirements, objectives and constraints; time, cost, quality, scope, risk and benefits
Requirements
Essential
- National Grid SR163 authorisation required, along with HSG47 and SEATS.
- The right candidate will need 5 – 10 years’ experience in Civils
Desirable:

- Holds a current driving license
- Holds CSCS and SSSTS or Equivalent
