Summary: The Sr Software Quality Test Automation Engineer will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of test automation frameworks, ensuring high-quality software delivery. This role requires extensive experience in software quality assurance, particularly in test automation, and proficiency in various programming languages and CI/CD tools. The position is hybrid, with a preference for local candidates in Folsom, CA, and focuses on integrating and enhancing automation processes. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a collaborative mindset to drive quality improvements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement test automation frameworks using tools such as Selenium, Playwright, Katalon Studio, and Cypress.
- Integrate, support, and monitor a push button solution in CI/CD.
- Improve and expand the automation framework as more AUTs are integrated.
- Research and integrate libraries/tools into the automation framework to increase quality and reduce in-house code.
- Monitor and enhance execution time through code performance, multi-threading, and cloud execution.
- Test APIs and user interfaces, and work with distributed systems on cloud platforms like AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform.
- Utilize tools such as HP ALM, Jira, Xray, and Confluence for project management and quality tracking.
- Communicate effectively in collaborative environments to deliver high-quality software.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Management of Information Systems, Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or related field; Master's degree preferred.
- Five or more years of related experience in software quality assurance and test automation.
- Proficiency in OO programming languages including Python, Groovy, Java, C#, and JavaScript.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins and GitHub Actions.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with a focus on quality metrics.
- Experience in performance and web service testing, security testing, and transaction monitoring.
- Testing certifications from reputable organizations such as ISTQB desirable.
- Experience integrating automated tests within HP ALM and cloud testing services (SauceLabs, LambdaTest, etc.).
