Summary: The Sr SAP Consultant HR – Fiori role involves providing specialized support for the HCM workstream in the SAP S/4 HANA Transformation Program, focusing on the implementation and migration of HCM processes. The consultant will collaborate with various teams to ensure successful transitions and improvements in business processes, particularly concerning Fiori applications. This position is contract-based for a duration of 24 months and requires on-site presence in Doha. Immediate availability is preferred, with a full-time commitment expected.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Deliver key design decisions and ensure timely migration activities as per project plan for the HCM workstream in the SAP S/4HANA transformation program.
  • Plan for Fiori related activities along with the project team.
  • Plan and execute Fiori related testing.
  • Identify, engage, and advise business on process improvements and new business functions.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to consolidate multiple SAP landscapes into a unified S/4HANA landscape.
  • Maintain integration of business processes within various HCM modules and with other applications.
  • Lead testing activities and ensure multiple rounds of testing deliver expected results.
  • Coordinate assessments and engage with Business Process Owners to recommend implementation strategies for HCM.
  • Drive data migration strategy for HCM-related data.
  • Oversee fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and solution design for HCM scope areas.
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Escalate and resolve SAP product issues through liaising with SAP AG.
  • Contribute towards sectional KPIs and targets aligned to departmental objectives.
  • Support governance frameworks for project governance, scope management, and cost control.
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies specific to HCM processes.
  • Drive change management, training, and stakeholder engagement for HCM business processes.
  • Adhere to project implementation standards and quality management systems.
  • Anticipate and mitigate delays, obstacles, and potential risks.

Key Skills:

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences/engineering/management or equivalent.
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SAP HCM, SuccessFactors) are a plus.
  • 9+ years of professional working experience, with a minimum of 4 years hands-on SAP implementation/support experience.
  • Experience with at least one full life cycle implementation project in SAP HCM.
  • Strong understanding of HR processes: Core HR, Payroll, Time Management, Talent Management.
  • Multiple project implementation experience with good knowledge of Fiori applications.
  • Experience in both ECC and S4 HANA landscapes.
  • Good knowledge of SAP HR and SuccessFactors.
  • Proven self-starter and team player with coordination skills.

Sr SAP Consultant HR – Fiori – On site – Doha – 24 months+

My client is currently looking for a Sr SAP Consultant HR – Fiori for a 24 Month + extension project on a freelance basis.

Start Date: Immediate (will wait notice)
Duration: 24 Months

Role Objective
Provide specialist support to HCM workstream in the SAP S/4 HANA Transformation Program. Support implementation of the HCM migration and consolidation activities and guide the ‘System Integrator’ team with key design decisions on improving business processes and functions after due analysis and consultations. Support the Head and work collaboratively with Business Process Owners and ensure delivery of the HCM business process requirements and successful transition to the new S4HANA, provide support to the migration team on overall HCM related activities, provide support to the migration team on overall HCM related activities with focus on Fiori applications related to HCM Processes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver key design decisions, ensure timely migrations activities as per Project plan for the

HCMworkstream in the SAP S/4HANA transformation program, including planning, design, testing, and deployment.

  • Plan for Fiori related activities along with the project team
  • Plan and execute Fiori related testing.
  • Identify, engage and advise Business on Process Improvements and new business functions and solutions to business problems
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (IT, business units, external consultants) to consolidate multiple SAP landscapes and interfaces to SAP systems into a unified S/4HANA landscape.
  • Maintain the integration of business processes within the various HCM modules and with other applications/modules like SuccessFactors, Finance/Controlling (FI/CO), Payroll etc. Work closely with the Technical Team for effective management of Security, Roles and Authorizations.
  • Lead the testing activity and ensure multiple rounds of testing of all BPML processes are delivering expected results and with no critical errors
  • Coordinate the assessment and engage with Business Process Owners to recommend to Management, the implementation strategy for HCM based on the outcome of the ‘Enterprise Structure’ assessment to be completed by the ‘System Integrator’. Ensure aligning the implementation to the approved approach.
  • Drive data migration strategy for HCM -related data, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
  • Oversee fit-gap analysis, blueprinting, and solution design for HCM scope areas
  • Manage stakeholder expectations and provide regular updates to executive leadership.
  • Escalate and Resolve SAP product issues through active liaising with SAP AG
  • Contribute towards sectional KPI’s and targets that are aligned to the Division/department objectives
  • Support the Head in establishing governance frameworks within relevant Directorate(s) for Project Governance, Scope Management and Cost Control
  • Monitor project risks and develop mitigation strategies specific to HCM processes
  • Drive change management, training, and stakeholder engagement for HCM business processes and associated change impacts
  • Adherence to Project Implementation Standards and Quality Management Systems (QMS) processes to achieve a standard approach to work practices and technologies
  • Anticipate, evaluate, mitigate on any delays, foreseen obstacles, design and quality issues and potential risks. Apprise/Escalate to the Head as necessary
Educational Qualification

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer sciences/engineering / management / or equivalent
  • Professional certifications (e.g., SAP HCM, SuccessFactors) are a plus.

Professional Experience

  • 9+ years of professional working experience, of which a minimum of 4 years hands-on

SAP implementation / support experience with at least one full life cycle implementation project in SAPHCM covering Business Process Design, Configuration, Gap Analysis, Development, Testing and Training

  • Strong understanding of HR processes: Core HR, Payroll, Time Management, Talent Management.
  • Multiple project implementation experience, with good knowledge of Fiori applications.
  • Experience in both ECC and S4 Hana landscapes.
  • Multiple project implementation experience, of SAP ECC and S4 HANA Landscapes
  • Good knowledge of SAP HR and SuccessFactors
  • Should be a proven self-starter and team player and be able to coordinate with other team members in completing assigned tasks.
