Summary: The Sr Manufacturing Engineer role involves applying engineering principles to address complex manufacturing challenges, leading equipment validation projects, and managing vendor relationships. The position requires strong project management skills and the ability to produce detailed engineering documentation. The ideal candidate will have experience in IQ/OQ/PQ validation and a focus on process improvements. This is a 12-month contract position based in Irvine, CA.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead IQ, OQ, and PQ validation of equipment with rotational and temperature controls
- Serve as project manager between third-party vendors for the design and implementation of complex systems
- Study time, motion, methods, and speed involved in maintenance and production operations to establish standard production rates and improve efficiency
- Interpret engineering drawings, schematic diagrams, and formulas; confer with management and engineering staff to determine quality and reliability standards
- Review worker logs, product processing sheets, and specification sheets to verify adherence to quality assurance requirements
- Assist in planning work assignments in accordance with worker performance, machine capacity, production schedules, and anticipated delays
- Prepare charts, graphs, and diagrams to illustrate workflow, routing, floor layouts, material handling, and machine utilization
- Observe workers operating equipment to verify compliance with quality assurance standards and assess time and fatigue rates
- Evaluate data and write reports to validate or identify deviations from existing standards
Key Skills:
