Summary: The role of MS SQL (Azure) Engineer involves evaluating and enhancing existing database designs for a client on a three-month contract. The position requires expertise in SQL database management, deployment processes, and cloud-based solutions, particularly in Azure. The engineer will also be responsible for maintaining SQL databases and ensuring the security of sensitive information. Knowledge of Azure Data Warehousing or Azure Fabric for BI reporting is highly desirable.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review Database SQL Git PRs and deploying these to production
  • Maintaining SQL database and any SQL Jobs
  • Defining SQL Standards and deployment processes
  • Management of SQL Backups
  • Management of Azure SQL server
  • Experience working in Database design and management
  • Experience with ETL and Monitoring Tools
  • Cloud Based DB Solutions and Services (e.g. Azure)
  • Relational and non-relational DBs
  • Database Design and Management
  • Considering Confidentiality and Privacy/Security of Sensitive Information
  • Any knowledge with Azure Data Warehousing or Azure Fabric (for BI Reporting Needs) would be highly desirable
