Summary: Ampa is seeking an experienced SQL Developer for a 7-month contract to support the implementation of a new Azure-hosted technical solution aimed at enhancing the internal debt recovery team's operations. The role involves creating and supporting data integrations, ensuring compliance with data standards, and collaborating with a team to optimize SQL-based solutions. The successful candidate will play a critical role in driving efficiency and organizational growth through effective data management and reporting. Strong technical skills in SQL development and experience with various tools and technologies are essential for this position.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create, implement, and support reliable data integrations between the new debt solution, third parties, clients, and internal systems.
  • Ensure seamless data exchange that automates vital business processes and supports regulatory requirements.
  • Understand the new solution, architecture design, project purpose, and integration requirements.
  • Undertake testing tasks within complex development projects to deliver a robust and scalable solution.
  • Participate in Agile Ceremonies.
  • Develop, test, and optimize SQL-based solutions.
  • Collaborate with a team of developers, designers, and project managers to translate business requirements into technical specifications.
  • Perform data analysis and ensure data quality by conducting validation and quality checks.
  • Use DevOps for workload management and version control.
  • Analyze performance and optimize solutions for maximum efficiency and scalability.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy and security standards.
  • Provide technical support and troubleshoot reporting-related issues.
  • Create visualizations and reports for requested projects.

Key Skills:

  • A minimum of 5 years demonstrable track record of successful delivery of complex technical applications and services.
  • Extensive experience in Microsoft SQL development, including Integration Services (SSIS), Reporting Services (SSRS)/PowerBI, Azure (Data Factory, Data Lake etc).
  • Strong knowledge of T-SQL programming.
  • Experience with SQL Server both on-premises and cloud-based.
  • Experience with database schema design and implementation.
  • Experience with Visual Studio.
  • Strong knowledge of ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) processes and tools, such as SSIS.
  • Experience in data preparation and data warehousing projects.
  • Experience with web services and APIs.
  • Experience with DevOps and version control systems.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Knowledge of data modeling and data architecture.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills.
  • Experience with DevOps: Automated Testing, Peer Reviews, Microsoft Fabric, Microsoft .Net would be beneficial.

Ampa are looking for an experienced SQL Developer to join the business on an initial 7-month contract to support the delivery and implementation of a new Azure-hosted technical solution that will transform how the internal debt recovery team operates in line with our product roadmap.

What you will be doing:

  • Create, implement, and support reliable data integrations between our new debt solution, third parties, clients and internal systems
  • Ensure seamless data exchange, that automates vital business processes, supports regulatory requirements, and creates new possibilities for insightful reporting and process improvement.
  • This role is critical in making the most of the debt solution by ensuring it works as part of a unified digital environment, driving efficiency and organisational growth

Role Priorities
