An Advertising Agency is looking for an SQL Developer for an upcoming project, reporting to Head of Development.
Purpose of the position: Design and develop code you can be proud of to deliver system solution designs. You will be responsible for coding the technical solution to realise the requirements specified for each project:
- Working with team mates to ensure solutions follow the technical design.
- Using appropriate technology to code the solution.
- Unit test your code to make the job of quality assurance a breeze. This involves working with the wider development team to ensure your code meets requirements, is produced to plan and is of a quality you can be proud of.
Fundamentals:
- Follow Technical Design - Work with a Project Manager and Systems Analyst to develop the physical system components to a design that delivers the client requirements.
- Produce clean, efficient code that follows internal design requirements.
- Analyse and contribute improvements to solution requirements to ensure the delivered system is as good as it can be.
Produce Working Code
- Develop the code to deliver the required solution
- Unit test your own code before releasing it to the Quality Assurance team
- Work with the Quality Assurance team to manage defects and ensure bug free code
- Utilise Subversion and GIT source code repositories to track and securely store all developed code
- Produce notes to inform the release of code to production
- Adhere to secure coding standards
