Summary: The SQL Developer role involves joining a D365 data migration programme for a global manufacturing client, primarily working remotely with occasional office presence in Hampshire. The position requires extensive experience with MS SQL Server and related technologies, focusing on developing hybrid solutions and maintaining application connectivity. The developer will be responsible for creating data pipelines, interpreting database models, and implementing best practices for information management.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and maintain solutions leveraging MS SQL Server, SSIS, SSRS, and Microsoft Azure technologies.
- Support and maintain code beyond T-SQL, including PowerShell and JavaScript.
- Create and maintain T-SQL and PowerShell scripts as required.
- Manipulate and work with various data formats including JSON, XML, and Excel.
- Design and interpret database models for SQL Server and Azure DB.
- Develop integrations between operational systems.
- Assist in implementing best practices for information and document management.
- Gather requirements and estimate effort for project tasks.
- Participate in Agile development life cycles using Azure DevOps.
Key Skills:
- Extensive experience with MS SQL Server and Azure SQL.
- Proficiency in T-SQL, PowerShell, and JavaScript.
- Experience with D365 data migration.
- Knowledge of multi-platform integration, preferably with MS Azure.
