Summary: An experienced SQL Developer (C#) is needed for a contract role focused on enhancing a critical backend system for warehousing and ecommerce operations. The position requires strong SQL and C# skills, with an emphasis on reliability and data accuracy. The role involves developing SQL Server solutions, supporting backend services, and maintaining integrations. The contract is inside IR35, with a rate of £600 per day and three days onsite work per week.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and optimising SQL Server solutions (T-SQL, stored procedures, functions, indexing, performance tuning)
  • Building and supporting C#/.NET backend services and internal tools
  • Delivering and maintaining integrations (REST and SOAP APIs)
  • Creating and supporting ETL / data synchronisation processes across systems
  • Supporting high-volume transactional data (orders, stock movements, inventory updates)
  • Troubleshooting production issues and improving stability and data quality

Key Skills:

  • Strong commercial SQL Server and T-SQL development
  • Strong C#/.NET backend experience
  • Proven experience with API integrations (REST/SOAP)
  • Experience delivering data sync/ETL solutions (SSIS and/or Azure Data Factory beneficial)
  • Comfortable working in a live operational environment (support, troubleshooting, performance)
  • Warehousing / inventory / order management system exposure (desirable)
  • Ecommerce platform integration exposure (desirable)
  • Azure DevOps / CI/CD experience (desirable)

An experienced SQL Developer (C#) is required to support and enhance a business-critical backend estate across warehousing and ecommerce order/inventory flows. This is a delivery-focused contract where reliability, data accuracy, and integration stability are key.

Contract details

  • £600 per day (Inside IR35)
  • 3 days per week onsite
  • Contract assignment (start ASAP subject to onboarding)
What you’ll be doing
