Summary: The role of SQL DBA involves working on a migration project for an insurance client, requiring expertise in SQL database administration and AWS technologies. The position is contract-based and emphasizes the need for experience with Amazon RDS and related services. The successful candidate will work primarily on-site in Central London for 2-3 days a week. This role is classified as outside IR35, offering a competitive daily rate based on experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL databases for migration projects.
- Utilize AWS and Amazon RDS for database solutions.
- Collaborate with teams to deliver technology and change programmes.
- Implement best practices for database administration and performance tuning.
- Support the migration process and troubleshoot issues as they arise.
Key Skills:
- Experienced SQL Database Administrator.
- Proficient in AWS technologies.
- Knowledge of Amazon RDS (Relational Database Service).
- Experience with migration projects.
- Familiarity with Amazon Aurora and PostgreSQL is highly desirable.
