Summary: A SQL Server Database Administrator is needed for a market-leading organization for a 3-month contract. The role requires extensive experience in SQL DBA within a high availability regulated environment, with a focus on SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL. The position involves working collaboratively on database configuration, integrity, and performance tuning, requiring on-site presence in Leeds for two days a week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and maintain SQL Server databases in a high availability environment.
- Ensure database configuration, availability, integrity, and security.
- Perform performance tuning and adhere to code standards and reviews.
- Liaise with technical teams and third parties for database-related tasks.
- Work collaboratively within a team in a fast-paced environment.
Key Skills:
- Extensive SQL DBA experience.
- Proficiency in SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL.
- Experience in performance tuning and code reviews.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Familiarity with SSRS, SSIS, SSAS, and Cosmos DB is advantageous.
- Experience in highly regulated environments.
Salary (Rate): £500 daily

A SQL Server DBA is required to work for a market leading organisation. You will have extensive SQL DBA development and production experience, gained within a large enterprise, high availability regulated environment, with good knowledge of SQL Server 2019 and Azure SQL. Any experience of SSRS/SSIS/SSAS, Cosmos DB, cloud-based or hosted database platforms advantageous though not essential. The role will involve working as part of a team on the configuration, availability, integrity and security of all databases and datasources dealing with the performance tuning and code standards, code reviews, liaising with the technical teams, 3rd parties etc. Must be able to work in a fast paced, dynamic environment. The role will require 2 days a week on site Leeds.
