Summary: The Splunk ITSI Expert role involves building advanced observability solutions, focusing on metrics, logs, traces, and AI/ML models to enhance event management and dashboard capabilities. The position requires extensive experience with the Splunk platform and a strong understanding of IT service management concepts. The expert will also be responsible for root cause analysis and providing predictive insights. This role is based in Birmingham or Sheffield and is available for immediate start until November 2025.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build Observability level 4 solutions including managing events and component level metrics.
- Develop metrics-logs and traces, time series topology, and AI/ML models.
- Create alerts, comprehensive dashboards, and conduct root cause and business impact analysis.
- Provide predictive and preventative insights.
Key Skills:
- 10+ years of experience in building observability level 4.
- Expertise in the Splunk platform, including Essentials, Enterprise Security, and ITSI.
- Strong understanding of ITSM concepts (ITIL, ServiceNow) and service management processes.
- Proficiency in scripting and programming languages like Python, Shell Scripting, or Perl.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Solid understanding of network, server, and application infrastructure.
- Strong communication and collaboration skills.
