Key Responsibilities:
- Manufacture various components and assemblies using recognized processes/skills.
- Produce quality finished components in accordance with drawings and specifications.
- Work efficiently within agreed standards without supervision.
- Maintain operator self-inspection capability.
- Collaborate as a team member with a flexible attitude.
- Ensure housekeeping and tidiness on the shop floor.
- Assist the Team Leader/management in improving operational efficiency.
- Set up jigs and fixtures for assembly and test purposes.
- Train others in at least one of the processes.
- Participate in root cause analysis investigations.
- Support engineering with new product introduction.
- Familiarize with Health and Safety and Fire policies.
- Apply Environmental procedures (ISO 14001).
Key Skills:
- Proven relevant experience in assembly processes.
- Expertise in Vacuum Brazing, General Assembly, or Soldering (J-STD 001).
- Manual dexterity for performing assembly operations.
- Skilled in reading and interpreting engineering drawings.
- Basic oral and written communication skills.
- Good eyesight including depth perception and normal color vision.
- Self-motivated and committed to quality.
- Ability to learn new skills and work to deadlines.
- Team player with an understanding of Lean tools (desirable).

The role Speed Assembly Operator; the successful applicant will manufacture various components and assemblies using recognized processes / skills. You will produce quality finished components and assemblies in accordance with drawings and MBS routings / manufacturing build specifications to aerospace standards.
Responsibility
- To work efficiently within agreed standards, without supervision.
- To work accurately and pay attention to detail.
- To obtain and maintain operator self-inspection capability.
- To work as a team member with a flexible attitude towards work.
- To be responsible for housekeeping and tidiness on the shop floor.
- To be pro-active in aiding the Team Leader / management team in improving the efficiency of the operation in terms of Quality, Cost and Delivery.
- To be able to set up jigs and fixtures for assembly and test purposes for themselves and Manufacturing Technicians.
- To be an expert in at least one of the processes with the ability to train others / prepare them for external training and subsequent approval.
- The ability to actively participate in root cause analysis investigations.
- The ability to support / advise engineering with regards new product introduction.
- To be familiar with the Health and Safety and Fire policies for the company and to attend mandatory updates when required.
- Good awareness of Environmental procedures (ISO 14001) and their application.
Requirements

- Expert in at least one of the following processes; Vacuum Brazing General Assembly Soldering (J-STD 001)
- Experience of performing manual assembly operations – manual dexterity
- Skilled in the reading and interpretation of engineering drawings
- Basic oral and written communications skills
- Good eye sight including depth perception / Normal colour vision
- Experience in any of the following processes: (Desirable) Encapsulation / Potting
