Job role / Specialty: Application Architect - Quality Engineering

project description: The Client`s core platform replacement for the UK customs handling systems which process the declarations for goods entering and leaving the UK/EU through ports and airports, support the calculation and payment of the correct duty and taxes and the completion of customs information electronically. The current systems handle approx. 60M declarations per year, but the potential exists for these volumes to increase five-fold in a post-Brexit landscape; it therefore forms a critical part of the government planning for Brexit. The program is operating as a Complex SI delivery built around a SOA architecture, integrating a combination of new bespoke systems and COTS products being hosted on a hybrid-cloud architecture built around AWS.

*** Experience as a Test Architect is preferable, with a proven track record of success in leading testing initiatives. Experience in non-functional testing; PVT or OAT. Expertise in testing Oracle database solutions. Experience in writing performant SQL, particularly for test data management, preferred. Strong proficiency in Python and JMeter is preferred. Strong experience with MQ is preferred. Proven ability to design and implement test automation frameworks. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills. Experience analyzing and improving feature delivery, from an E2E perspective.
