Are you wanting a new, innovative and incredibly exciting role providing vocational rehabilitation occupational therapy across community health services and primary care. This fixed term contract until March 31st 2026 is based on the original RCOT pilot, working with primary care to support individuals with common musculo-skeletal and mental health conditions to return to and prevent time away from work. We are looking for an experienced occupational therapist to work 0.8wte alongside GP practices to provide vocational rehabilitation advice and signposting, assessment and intervention to support individuals to return to or maintain their work role; and advice and signposting for those wishing to return to employment. To work at an advanced level within the four pillars of advanced clinical practice: Clinical practice, leadership and management, education and research. To take responsibility for developing and shaping the role to meet the needs of the local population in consultation with the PCN leads To autonomously utilise advanced clinical practice knowledge and skills to provide specialist vocational assessment and rehabilitation for patients with common mental health disorders and musculo-skeletal problems and occupational therapy assessment and intervention to the Primary Care Network (PCN) agreed population. To evidence high levels of problem solving, clinical reasoning and exercise independence of judgement to assess treat and manage own caseload of vocational rehab within the PCN. To develop processes to optimise service flow, outcome measurement and present data on the developing role within the PCN.
