Within South Sector the AHP teams work together supporting each other to ensure we produce high quality care for our patients. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 6 Occupational Therapist to join the Orthopaedic Team for 10- months. This post will be located at Gartnavel General Hospital with a focus on Orthopaedic elective activity. It is essential that you are educated to Diploma/Degree level in occupational therapy while being registered with HCPC. You should have significant post graduate experience with previous clinical experience in Orthopaedics. This post involves a complex and varied caseload incorporating patient assessment, diagnosis, treatment and discharge planning. We are looking for candidates who are open to generic working across other professions to improve the journey for the service user. You will be clinically responsible for rotational staff, support worker staff and students, inducting, training and managing staff daily. You will lead in service development and service change within the team. You will be actively encouraged to develop through your 4 pillars of practice while participating in CPD, audit and research. There is an expectation that the post holder to participate in extended hours working to cover the demands of elective/ day surgery activity.
