Summary: The Specialist Applications Assistant will support the GMC's Specialist Applications team by managing administrative tasks related to the approval of out of programme training processes and specialist applications. This hybrid role requires attendance at the office twice a week and for in-person training. The position is fixed-term, covering up to 12 months of family leave. The successful candidate will contribute to the GMC's mission of ensuring safe patient care across the UK.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assess and process applications for entry onto the Specialist and GP registers.
  • Provide administrative and organisational support to the Specialist Applications section.
  • Manage the approval process for out of programme training.
  • Support specialist applications and related tasks.
  • Attend the office for in-person induction and training.

Key Skills:

  • Strong administrative and organisational skills.
  • Experience in processing applications or similar administrative roles.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Attention to detail and ability to manage multiple tasks.

Salary (Rate): £24,134
