Summary: The role of Solution Architect involves leading the architectural design for a Cyber & Physical Defense Centre, focusing on regulatory and compliance monitoring. The candidate will leverage strong technical and cryptographic knowledge to develop solutions that align with industry standards. This hybrid position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure the architecture meets both technical and organizational needs. The role is contract-based for a duration of 6 months and is classified as inside IR35.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work with Product Owners, Platform Leads, Enterprise Architects and Engineers to develop and maintain the architecture that underpins our regulatory and compliance monitoring capability.
  • Design, build and drive end-to-end solution designs that are technically sound and include regulatory, commercial and organizational aspects.
  • Use industry best-practice, frameworks, standards and policies to create opportunities and value for teams and customers.
  • Elicit requirements, shape and validate designs or prototypes that deliver customer outcomes aligned to target architecture for compliance and regulatory monitoring.
  • Set guiding principles and solution success criteria as a subject matter expert, providing oversight in building quality, decoupled and modernized architectures.
  • Support Product Owners and Platform Leads in identifying, articulating and impact assessing software and infrastructure currency risks or issues.
  • Offer options and recommendations on action planning and continuously ever-greening solutions/systems.

Key Skills:

  • Established systems engineering or solution architecture experience in multi-disciplinary product, feature or platform teams.
  • Knowledge of secure configuration and deployment practices such as Infrastructure-as-Code and tools such as Terraform, Harness and GitHub.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory and compliance frameworks.
  • Strong knowledge of Google Cloud Platform (GCP) and its security services.
  • Superb communication skills, especially visually and through storytelling using data.
  • Ability to distil sophisticated information and present it succinctly in both written and oral formats.
  • Established experience partnering with other collaborators such as Enterprise, Security, Data and Infrastructure architects.
  • Proficient experience leading activities associated with Architectural Governance, Risk Management and Compliance processes.
  • Previous experience in a Cyber Defense or Security Operations environment is highly desirable.

The Role: Solution Architect who can combine deep technical thought leadership with strong security knowledge & skills to help drive the underpinning solution architecture of our Cyber & Physical Defense Centre, with a heavy focus on regulatory and compliance monitoring. The candidate should have strong cryptographic knowledge which will be needed to review and design for existing and new cryptographic solutions.

Key responsibilities:
