Summary: We are looking for a skilled Solution Architect to join a growing team in Leeds, responsible for designing and delivering scalable application architectures for complex enterprise solutions. This role requires a technology leader who can translate business and technical requirements into coherent architectural designs while ensuring alignment with enterprise strategy. The position involves collaboration with various stakeholders and providing technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle. The contract is for an initial duration of 6 months, with a hybrid working arrangement of two to three days on-site each week.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end solution design for business-critical applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into coherent architectural designs.
- Define application architectures in alignment with enterprise strategy, governance, and standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure delivery success.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and platforms to support solution needs.
- Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, maintainability) are met.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect in enterprise-scale application environments.
- Strong background in software development and application design.
- Familiarity with modern architectural patterns (e.g. microservices, event-driven, API-first).
- Knowledge of integration technologies and platforms (REST, SOAP, message queues).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g. AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
- TOGAF or equivalent architectural certification is desirable.
- Background in Agile/DevOps environments.
