Summary: The Solutions Architect role focuses on designing a cloud-native internal data marketplace, ensuring practical and scalable solutions within a React, Java (Quarkus), and GCP/GKE ecosystem. Key Responsibilities:
- Design end-to-end marketplace architecture covering publishing, discovery, access, consumption, and lifecycle management
- Define metadata, lineage, quality signals, and policy enforcement patterns
- Integrate governance, security, and identity controls
- Translate Data Mesh principles into practical platform capabilities and reusable templates
- Lead build vs buy evaluations and proof-of-concept initiatives
- Define and implement a micro front-end strategy in React with coherent UX and deployment practices
- Provide technical leadership, standards, and mentorship to engineering teams
- Guide implementation across Quarkus services and GKE/Kubernetes environments
- Embed secure-by-design and compliance patterns including residency, auditability, and threat modelling
Key Skills:
- 8 years experience in Solutions or Platform Architecture within cloud-native environments
- Strong React experience including micro front-ends or modular UI architecture
- Strong Java experience, ideally with Quarkus or similar high-performance frameworks
- Hands-on GCP and GKE/Kubernetes experience across deployment and operations
- Deep understanding of Data Mesh and data-as-a-product principles
- Experience with event-driven architectures, REST APIs, and distributed systems
- Ability to balance stakeholder communication with deep technical detail
