Summary: The Solution/Security Architect role involves supporting the delivery of strategic cyber control solutions within the security governance, risk, and compliance sub-domain. The position requires expertise in defining security solution architectures and collaborating with enterprise architects to ensure secure and valuable solutions. The architect will also be responsible for creating reusable solution patterns and overseeing implementations while aligning security technologies with business strategies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and define security solution architectures across the business.
  • Collaborate with Enterprise Architects to provide solution-specific expertise.
  • Support strategic architecture projects with detailed security solution architecture input.
  • Ensure solutions focus on usability and contribute to the value of dependent services.
  • Create reusable, repeatable, and transferable solution patterns and briefing documents.
  • Work with business and technical teams to deliver security solutions and oversee implementations.
  • Develop and own roadmaps for security technologies and processes.
  • Assist in vendor selection to meet business requirements and drive value.
  • Contribute to research, including proof of concept and proof of value initiatives.
  • Understand transformation implications by collaborating with business technology stakeholders.

Key Skills:

  • Experience in solution architecture in large-scale complex environments.
  • Familiarity with EA frameworks such as TOGAF.
  • Background in cyber security, including operational/delivery/forensics.
  • Experience in producing business cases and ensuring delivery of business benefits.
  • Subject matter expertise in a technology field.
  • Self-motivated, organized, proactive, and flexible.
  • Ability to challenge and work to strict deadlines.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to interpret stakeholders' needs and business/technical issues.
  • Possess a recognized formal security qualification (CISSP, CISM) or equivalent experience.

Salary (Rate): £650
