Summary: The Solution Engineer role in London involves collaborating with various teams to create robust solutions and enhance partner experiences. The position requires leading technical discussions, performing integration audits, and providing expert guidance on software development. Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate across multiple functions including business development, product management, engineering, partnerships, and content teams to drive impactful outcomes.
- Lead technical discussions with prospective partners, assess feasibility, and recommend integration strategies that maximise ecosystem capabilities.
- Perform integration audits and advise on enhancements to meet shared business objectives.
- Build trust and credibility with partner technical teams by architecting and delivering joint solutions.
- Provide expert guidance through design consultations, code reviews, and technical training sessions.
- Create and maintain sample code, SDKs, and technical content including video tutorials, help articles, and FAQs.
- Analyse partner-reported issues and relay actionable insights to internal product teams.
- Contribute to the development and refinement of web, software, or mobile apps, including prototypes and proof of concepts.
- Champion best practices in design, architecture, and documentation.
- Stay responsive to customer feedback, driving roadmap discussions and continuous improvement of integration quality.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in designing and developing web, software, or mobile applications.
- Proven ability to build strong collaborative relationships across teams and external partners.
- Deep understanding of small business needs and financial management solutions is a plus.
- Proficient in one or more of the following: JavaScript, Java, .NET, PHP, Node.js, Python, Ruby on Rails.
- Experience with web services and APIs (REST, GraphQL) and authentication standards.
- Familiarity with accounting software is highly desirable.
- Strong communicator—able to clearly convey technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Self-motivated, proactive, and capable of thriving in a fast-paced environment.
