Summary: We are looking for a skilled Solution Architect to join a client's team in Leeds, focusing on designing and delivering scalable application architectures for complex enterprise solutions. This role involves leading solution design, collaborating with various stakeholders, and ensuring that both functional and non-functional requirements are met. The position is a 6-month initial contract with a hybrid working arrangement. The role is classified as outside IR35.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead end-to-end solution design for business-critical applications.
- Translate business and technical requirements into coherent architectural designs.
- Define application architectures in alignment with enterprise strategy, governance, and standards.
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business analysts, developers, testers, and project managers to ensure delivery success.
- Provide technical leadership throughout the software development life cycle.
- Evaluate and recommend tools, technologies, and platforms to support solution needs.
- Ensure non-functional requirements (performance, security, scalability, maintainability) are met.
Key Skills:
- Proven experience as a Solution Architect in enterprise-scale application environments.
- Strong background in software development and application design.
- Familiarity with modern architectural patterns (eg microservices, event-driven, API-first).
- Knowledge of integration technologies and platforms (REST, SOAP, message queues).
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Experience with cloud platforms (eg AWS, Azure, GCP) is highly desirable.
