Solution Architect - Payments - Contract - 12 Months - Inside IR35

Key Responsibilities

• Own the architecture for a new payments platform.
• Design complex payment flows, integrations and reconciliation processes.
• Shape secure API and Open Banking-enabled capabilities.
• Work across business, data, application, integration, security and cloud domains.
• Provide strong stakeholder leadership in a regulated environment.
• Produce clear architecture artefacts and decision records.

Essential Experience

• Strong Solution Architect background designing and building payment platforms (not just administering them).
• Deep understanding of payment flows - CHAPS, Faster Payments, Open Banking, reconciliation, cash allocation.
• Experience in a regulated or financial services environment (banking, building society, payments, fintech).
• Stakeholder-facing - able to influence product, engineering, finance and senior leadership.
• Azure cloud experience

Please note you will ideally be required to be onsite 2-3 days per week.
