Summary: The Solution Architect role at Summer-Browning Associates involves supporting a Public Sector client for an initial twelve-month assignment, with a focus on Technical/Solution Architecture. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement solutions on AWS and Azure.
- Optimize and automate Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments.
- Define, maintain, and own the technical strategy and roadmap for services.
- Lead technical design initiatives across Data, Digital, Security, and Technical domains.
- Mentor, coach, and manage mid-level technical architects.
- Guide technical teams and influence critical technical decisions.
- Identify transformative digital opportunities.
- Ensure compliance with Secure by Design principles and IT security documentation.
- Work in public sector or defence secure environments.

The ideal candidate will have an active security clearance and a strong background in Technical/Solution Architecture.
The following skills and experiences are required:
- Experience in designing and implementing solutions on AWS and Azure, as well as optimising and automating Infrastructure as Code (IaC) deployments for maximum security, performance, and cost-effectiveness.
- Familiarity with Google Cloud Platform (GCP) is a plus.
- Experience in defining, maintaining, and owning the technical strategy and roadmap for services.
- Knowledge of a broad range of industry-standard technologies, both proprietary and open source, across various Microsoft and Linux-based environments.
- Proven ability to lead technical design initiatives across all domains, including Data, Digital, Security, and Technical areas.
- A demonstrated track record of mentoring, coaching, and managing mid-level technical architects.
- Strong capability to guide technical teams, influence critical technical decisions, and identify transformative digital opportunities.
- Proficiency in Secure by Design principles and IT security documentation, including policies, standards, processes, procedures, and patterns.
