I am recruiting for a Solution Architect to work on a hybrid basis - 3 days in London, 2 days remote.
The role falls inside IR35 so you will be required to work through an umbrella company for the duration of the contract.
I am looking for someone who can deeply understand the characteristics and constraints of existing systems, and lead decision-making around technology selection and architecture.
This is not a Greenfield architecture role where a new system is built from scratch. The candidate should be able to assess the current on-premises environment accurately and design the optimal future architecture when migrating or modernising existing systems to the cloud.
This role requires more than technical expertise. The candidate should be able to take responsibility for assessing existing systems, defining the cloud migration approach, selecting technologies and designing the architecture & making decisions based on cost, risk, maintainability, and scalability.
The ideal candidate will be able to engage with business teams and stakeholders, explain technical advantages and disadvantages as well as business trade-offs in a clear manner, and drive alignment among the relevant parties.
