The Role:
This is a hands-on architecture and solution design position where you will own end-to-end technical designs for cybersecurity-focused applications and platforms.
You will work closely with engineering, platform and governance teams to ensure solutions are secure, scalable, supportable and aligned with enterprise standards.
Key responsibilities include:
- Defining and maintaining architecture artefacts including HLDs, LLDs, ADRs, reference architectures and design patterns
- Delivering end-to-end solution designs from requirements through to production support
- Supporting the evolution of large-scale data and analytics platforms
- Evaluating technologies and conducting proof-of-concepts to drive standardisation and architectural consistency
- Facilitating design reviews, architecture forums and governance discussions
- Providing technical guidance throughout delivery and implementation
- Ensuring solutions meet security, operational and regulatory requirements
- Contributing hands-on where required, including technical problem solving and occasional development activities
Required Experience:
We're interested in individuals who combine strong architecture expertise with practical delivery experience.
You should have:
- Proven experience producing end-to-end solution designs
- Strong architecture documentation skills, including HLDs, LLDs and ADRs
- Experience designing, implementing and supporting enterprise-scale data platforms
- Strong understanding of distributed systems and modern technology architectures
- Experience evaluating technologies and making architectural recommendations
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills
- The ability to influence technical decisions across multiple teams

- Sheffield-based office attendance required two days per week
