Summary: Solution Architect needed for a 6-month contract with a major UK financial services organization. The role involves designing and delivering comprehensive architecture solutions while collaborating with various stakeholders. The position is based in Manchester and follows a hybrid working model. The daily rate for this contract is £550.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and deliver end-to-end architecture solutions across applications, data, integration, and infrastructure
- Produce high-level and low-level solution designs, architecture diagrams, and interface specifications
- Ensure solutions meet scalability, security, and enterprise architecture standards
- Collaborate with stakeholders including business leaders, product owners, and engineering teams
- Lead architecture reviews, risk assessments, and solution assurance activities
- Guide development teams on best practices, design patterns, and implementation
Key Skills:
- Strong experience as a Solution Architect (6+ years)
- Expertise in Legacy systems (including mainframes)
- Proven experience transforming Legacy systems into containerised microservices architectures
- Strong understanding of cloud platforms and hosting concepts
- .NET, Java
- Angular/React
- REST APIs
- Event-driven architecture
- CI/CD pipelines & DevOps practices
- Knowledge of Domain-Driven Design (DDD) and data mesh principles
- Experience in API, microservices, and application security
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Agile delivery experience
