Summary: The Solution Architect for CMDB & Integration Lead at BACB will oversee the design, deployment, and operational integration of the ManageEngine CMDB with Tenable and other business processes. This role is pivotal in establishing a central repository for IT assets and configurations, enhancing risk visibility and operational efficiency. The position requires collaboration across various teams to ensure compliance and continuous improvement in configuration management. The contract is for three months and involves a hybrid working arrangement.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end design, implementation, and rollout of ManageEngine CMDB across the enterprise.
- Define data models, CI classes, relationships, and policies in alignment with ITIL principles and business operations.
- Drive CMDB population strategies including automated discovery, integrations, and manual inputs.
- Ensure high data quality, integrity, and consistency through robust governance frameworks.
- Architect and implement integrations between ManageEngine CMDB, Tenable, and other enterprise platforms.
- Define and build API-based workflows, connectors, and data synchronisation processes.
- Collaborate with cybersecurity and infrastructure teams to ensure asset and vulnerability data flows support compliance and risk posture.
- Translate business processes into technical workflows involving CMDB.
- Lead workshops with stakeholders to define use cases, process improvements, and automation opportunities.
- Embed CMDB into ITSM and DevOps pipelines for real-time visibility and proactive change impact analysis.
- Develop and enforce configuration management policies, standards, and CI lifecycle processes.
- Monitor CMDB performance, data health, and stakeholder usage to inform continuous improvement.
- Establish and maintain technical documentation, diagrams, and architecture repositories.
- Act as the subject matter expert (SME) for CMDB and systems integration, guiding cross-functional teams.
- Champion best practices for IT asset and configuration management, ensuring compliance with regulatory and audit standards.
- Mentor team members and stakeholders on CMDB and integration principles.
Key Skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Systems Engineering, or a related field.
- Minimum 5+ years in IT systems architecture or enterprise ITSM/CMDB implementation roles.
- Proven experience deploying and integrating ManageEngine CMDB, including discovery tools and CI lifecycle management.
- Familiarity with Tenable or similar vulnerability management platforms.
- Demonstrated success in integrating IT platforms using REST APIs, automation frameworks, or middleware.
- In-depth knowledge of CMDB design, service modelling, and ITIL configuration management.
- Experience with scripting and automation (e.g., Python, PowerShell, JavaScript).
- Understanding of IT infrastructure, cloud services, and enterprise architecture principles.
- Knowledge of ITSM platforms, change management, and incident resolution frameworks.

Process Design & Optimisation Translate business processes into technical workflows involving CMDB — including change, incident, and problem management dependencies. Proven experience deploying and integrating ManageEngine CMDB, including discovery tools and CI lifecycle management. Familiarity with Tenable or similar vulnerability management platforms, and experience integrating asset data with security tools. Demonstrated success in integrating IT platforms using REST APIs, automation frameworks, or middleware.
