Summary: The Solar Farm Project Manager (Electrical Biased) will oversee the management of utility-scale solar PV projects, ensuring compliance with health, safety, and environmental policies while maintaining positive relationships with clients and stakeholders. This role requires strong project management skills and a civils background to meet deadlines and budget constraints. The position is a 6-month contract based in Cardiff, requiring on-site presence five days a week. The ideal candidate will possess relevant qualifications and experience in the solar energy sector.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage utility-scale ground mounted solar PV projects from inception to completion.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers.
- Ensure compliance with all site-related health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Meet programme deadlines and budget by effectively managing all site works.
- Conduct internal and external project meetings.
- Review drawings, specifications, and scopes of work.
- Oversee health and safety, budget, and programme responsibilities.
- Communicate effectively with clients, supply chain, and employees.
- Proactively solve problems and manage multiple tasks.
Key Skills:
- Previous project management experience in utility-scale solar PV.
- Strong civils background.
- Excellent communication skills.
- Ability to build relationships with stakeholders.
- Experience in health and safety compliance.
- Budget and programme management experience.
- Qualified at HNC level with relevant industry training (SMSTS, CDM, IOSH).
