Summary: We are looking for a detail-oriented Manual Tester to join our QA team in Glasgow on a fixed-term contract. The role involves executing manual tests, collaborating with stakeholders, and ensuring software quality through comprehensive testing practices. This position offers an opportunity to work in a dynamic environment where contributions directly impact product quality. The ideal candidate will have proven experience in manual testing and a strong understanding of QA methodologies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Execute manual test cases based on functional and non-functional requirements.
  • Collaborate with developers, business analysts, and other stakeholders to understand system functionality and requirements.
  • Identify, document, and track bugs and issues using standard bug tracking tools (e.g., JIRA).
  • Perform regression, integration, system, and user acceptance testing.
  • Contribute to the creation and maintenance of test documentation, including test plans and test reports.
  • Support release cycles by performing testing on different environments.
  • Ensure test coverage across all key areas of the application.

Key Skills:

  • Proven experience as a Manual Tester or Quality Assurance Analyst.
  • Strong understanding of the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and QA methodologies.
  • Experience testing web-based and/or mobile applications.
  • Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (e.g., JIRA, TestRail).
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • Desirable: Experience in Agile/Scrum environments.
  • Desirable: Basic understanding of automation testing concepts or tools.
  • Desirable: Knowledge of SQL for data validation.
