Summary: The Software Tester role involves supporting the development and testing of systems within a hybrid working environment, primarily based in Birmingham. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure quality and compliance in software solutions. The role is complex and demands adaptability to changing priorities while managing a varied workload. It is an 18-month fixed-term contract with a focus on delivering high-quality outcomes in a regulatory context.

Key Responsibilities:

• Proactively liaise with the Senior System Tester to provide resource and time requirements for technical development approval.
• Create detailed testing technical documentation.
• Ensure all developed solutions meet business requirements and quality acceptance criteria through thorough system testing and UAT.
• Support colleagues through all key stages of the technical development life cycle.
• Engage with business areas to keep them informed of testing progress and involve them in key decisions.
• Prepare and maintain technical support documents for developed systems.
• Provide technical guardianship of the Siebel CRM.
• Offer expert system knowledge during the creation of training materials.

Key Skills:

• Experience of developing and executing test cases.
• Experience of regression testing to verify new code and defect fixes.
• Good knowledge of software testing techniques.
• Experience of system testing, system integration, and UAT on complex projects.
• Experience in a continuous integration environment.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to engage with stakeholders and build effective relationships.
• Desirable: Experience of Azure Dev/Ops, testing APIs, testing data transformations, ISTQB/ISEB Testing Certification, basic understanding of Microsoft development platform, knowledge of automated testing processes.
