Summary: The Software Test Engineer role requires an SC Cleared professional to join a global defence technology company, working within an Agile Scrum team focused on innovative geospatial solutions. The position involves active participation in the software development life cycle, ensuring the quality of complex cloud-based systems. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders and contribute to test design and automation efforts. This role demands a proactive approach to quality assurance and teamwork in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality at every step.
- Task estimation in accordance with sprint planning.
- Design of tests within an agile environment using a test management tool. We use the Xray Test Management application for Jira.
- Designing and executing automated and exploratory tests, particularly in RESTful API environments.
- Contributing towards researching, evaluating and managing test automation frameworks.

- Agile development experience
- Ability to support the Product Owner in defining acceptance criteria for user stories
- Testing REST Architecture using Postman or Bruno
- Ability to self-motivate and to work well within a team environment.
- Ability to promote innovation in self and others

- Ability to deliver to quality, cost and schedule

You will join a global defence technology company working within an Agile Scrum team on innovative solutions in the Geospatial domain.
The role is more than a tester. The Engineer will be involved in the entire software development life cycle, helping shape the quality of complex, real-world, cloud-based systems.
Responsibilities
- Collaborating closely with developers, product owners, and other stakeholders to ensure software quality at every step.
