Software Test Engineer

Summary: An urgent 6-month fixed-term contract is available for a Software Test Engineer/QA professional to join an agile development team. The role involves collaborating with developers and product owners to define testing strategies, creating and maintaining test plans, and conducting user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in QA methodologies, particularly in front-end web software development, and will be proficient in various testing tools and frameworks.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with developers and product owners to define testing strategies and identify risks early.
• Create and maintain test plans, test cases, and scripts for functional, regression, and integration testing.
• Build and execute regression and system test suites, validating fixes and tracking defects in JIRA and Wrike.
• Conduct user acceptance testing (UAT) to ensure customer-focused delivery.
• Provide clear reporting on testing progress, quality metrics, and deployment readiness.
• Participate in sprint reviews and retrospectives, contributing to continuous improvement.
• Support compliance and regulatory standards while maintaining security best practices.

Key Skills:

• Strong track record in QA methodologies and processes, particularly in front-end web software development.
• Hands-on experience with functional, regression, integration, manual and automated testing.
• Skilled in creating and maintaining automated test scripts.
• Proficient with agile frameworks (Scrum/Kanban) and tools (JIRA, Confluence, Wrike).
