Summary: The Software Test Engineer role involves developing software to support testing of satellite products utilizing Software Defined Radio technologies. The position requires collaboration within a multi-disciplinary team and focuses on software and subsystem integration testing. This is a 12-month contract role with hybrid working arrangements and requires BPSS clearance. The position is classified as inside IR35, necessitating engagement through an umbrella company.

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop software aspects to support the test of satellite products based on SDR technologies.
• Implement V&V and definition activities with the solutions.
• Work in a multi-disciplinary team containing software, system, firmware, and infrastructure engineers.
• Test software aspects of modem products and communications systems using software and subsystem integration testing with complex systems.

Key Skills:

• Experience with unit and integration test tools, ideally Robot Framework or GoogleTest/Catch22.
• Hands-on Linux experience in an embedded environment.
• Ability to implement and architect tests as a hands-on Test Engineer.
• Experience with Enterprise Architect.
• Desirable: C programming experience, SysML/UML experience, Jenkins configuration and administration.
