Summary: Our OEM Client in Manchester is seeking a Software Test Engineer for a contract role that is classified as inside IR35. The position involves developing and executing comprehensive test plans and conducting software testing, with a contract end date of 31st March 2027. The role requires expertise in diagnosing software and hardware issues while ensuring system integration. The position offers an umbrella pay rate of £56.49 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Developing and directing the preparation and execution of comprehensive test plans, quality assurance plans, procedures, and schedules.
  • Planning and conducting software testing, including writing code for testing applications/software.
  • Performing analysis of test results and tracking/reporting risk levels during test execution.
  • Conducting regression and ad-hoc testing of software and components affected by system changes.
  • Diagnosing software/hardware/data interface problems and ensuring system integration.
