Summary: The Software Quality Assurance Tester will be an integral part of a cross-functional delivery squad, focusing on ensuring the quality, reliability, and security of software solutions. This role involves designing and executing test plans, collaborating with team members, and maintaining a strong emphasis on quality throughout the testing process. The position is based on-site near Watford for three days a week, with an initial term of three months and potential for extension. The role requires significant experience in QA and test automation, and is not open to junior testers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Designing and executing comprehensive test plans and test cases using best practices.
- Performing functional, regression, integration, and performance testing.
- Collaborating in agile ceremonies – stand-ups, sprint planning, retrospectives, and demos.
- Working closely with developers to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.
- Supporting and improving automated testing frameworks and CI/CD pipelines.
- Ensuring robust coverage for both manual and automated tests.
- Contributing to documentation, including test strategies, user guides, and release notes.
- Actively seeking feedback and using it to improve personal and team performance.
- Maintaining a strong focus on quality, security, and scalability in all testing activities.
Key Skills:
- Strong experience in QA and test automation.
- Experience with frontend testing of React.js applications.
- Experience with backend testing of .NET Core services.
- Familiarity with tools and frameworks such as xUnit, Azure DevOps, Selenium, Cypress, or Playwright.
- Knowledge of API testing using Postman or similar tools.
- Understanding of Agile methodologies (Scrum/Kanban), TDD, and Clean Code principles.
- Experience with Continuous Integration and Deployment practices.
- Right to work in the UK.
