Summary: The Software Quality Assurance Tester at MedPro Group will be responsible for ensuring the quality of insurance software systems through manual testing, collaborating with IT operations, business stakeholders, and external partners. The role involves planning, developing, and executing functional test scenarios, as well as documenting software defects. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the London Market and will contribute to the transition to automated testing. This position offers an opportunity to shape the role while working in a dynamic environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Obtain a deep understanding of relevant insurance systems to create high-quality test collateral, test cases & scripts for many types of software testing.
- Generate relevant test data within the limits of GDPR regulations for sharing PII (Personally Identifiable Information) data outside UK/EU.
- Provide accurate testing estimates for project delivery and planning project phases.
- Review delivery team output to ensure the correct interpretation and delivery of project processes and test requirements.
- Confirm system test environment readiness.
- Manage test execution, to include coordinating all test resource.
- Manage the publication of results, defect reporting, triage and retesting to resolution.
- Support delivery teams as they develop and deploy projects to production.
- Support transition to automated testing of web based products.
Key Skills:
- At least 5+ years London Market and/or insurance business required.
- At least 3+ years experience as a manual tester.
- Good knowledge of IT such that issues can be fixed locally and more complex issues escalated to relevant external/outsourced parties.
- Knowledge of or experience working with web application automation testing software.
- Able to build strong working relationships with multiple key stakeholders.

Job Description MedPro's insurance application development is outsourced through an exclusive contract with an external software solutions supplier based in the UK. The manual testing role will work closely with IT operations, business stakeholders, software supplier and other partners within the wider Berkshire Hathaway Group to quality assure MedPro insurance software systems, both during development and critically in the lead up to releases to the live environment. The tester will be responsible for planning, developing, and executing functional test scenarios to ensure the readiness and usability of several policy management, claims handling systems (which will be the primary focus initially) and various interfaces between internal and external systems, in line with business requirements. The tester will also develop test scripts to address areas such as, user acceptance, regression, security and load testing. The tester will be strong on documenting all of software defects and reporting these back to the Development Team and wider Ops and business teams. The role will involve interaction across all functions within MedPro International and will suit someone with a strong understanding of the London Market and its operations.
