Summary: This role of Software License Compliance Analyst involves managing software license compliance data and reporting to optimize resource utilization across various departments. The position requires a deep understanding of licensing terms and technologies, as well as the ability to conduct complex data analysis to provide insights for operational and financial decision-making. The analyst will serve as a subject matter expert and mentor in software licensing reporting and analysis. The position is remote or hybrid, based in Greenwood Village, Colorado.

Job Title: Software License Compliance Analyst
Location: Greenwood Village - CO / Remote

JOB SUMMARY:
This is a lead level position that is responsible for managing simple to complex software license compliance data and reporting to better assist management in maximizing resources in various departments or lines of business. Through research and fact-finding combined with an understanding of applicable technologies and industry requirements, this role will be responsible for creating and producing reports in order to provide insights to determine operational and financial impact, trends, and opportunities. This role will be in the Information Technology organization and requires a thorough understanding of licensing terms, hardware and software technologies. This position is considered a subject matter expert in software licensing reporting and analysis and mentor to others.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Actively and consistently support all efforts to simplify and enhance the customer experience.
Demonstrate a consultative and client-oriented approach to data analysis and interpretation to be able to answer questions for the business, perform audits on different datasets, and identify anomalies found within the data.
Interact with internal teams to ensure software licensing terms and metrics are in accordance with business requirements and systems/tools implementations.
Provide recommendations based on data to improve strategic business decision making including operational and financial risk mitigation.
Interpret data and documentation, analyze results, and provide insights to determine operational impact, trends, and opportunities.
Conduct complex data analysis in support of a variety of software technologies, inclusive of:
- Capture, develop, and document data definitions, business rules, and data quality requirements.
- Integrate data from multiple sources to produce requested or required data elements.
- Develop reports and deliverables for management and communicate with all levels of stakeholders.
- Identify and define data quality improvements.
Ensure compliance with deliverable reporting requirements by performing quality data audits and analysis.
Coach and mentor business partners and team members on software licensing effectiveness.
Become a trusted software licensing advisor through the creation of business partnership.
Provide software licensing and compliance recommendations and advancements based on trending and technology changes.
Perform other duties as requested.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Required Skills/Abilities and Knowledge
Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
Working knowledge of software asset management and software discovery tools

Requires understanding common software & server subscription contracts to ensure their Asset Management Systems are configured correctly against their licensing contract with each server or software asset.
Must have experience in one or several of the following server publishers: Informatica, RedHat, Citrix, Tibco, MicroFocOpenText, Broadcom/VMware
Ability to interpret and understand contract licensing terms
Ability to learn new technologies and tools
Ability to prioritize and organize effectively
Ability to work independently, as well as in a collaborative and dynamic team environment
Ability to handle multiple projects and priorities
Advanced ability to analyze and interpret data
Ability to quickly identify business problems/opportunities
Ability to document, prepare and present data-driven presentations
Advanced skills using PC software applications (e.g. Access, Excel, PowerPoint)
