Summary: Our client in Ireland is seeking Python Software Engineers for long-term contracts, with a focus on developing and delivering complex software solutions in the banking industry. The role requires onsite presence in Dublin five days a week and involves collaboration with various stakeholders to ensure compliance and functional requirements are met. Candidates should possess strong Python development skills and experience in Agile practices. The position is available for immediate start and may extend beyond the initial contract duration.

Key Responsibilities:

• Contribute to story refinement/defining requirements.
• Participate and guide team in estimating work necessary to realize a story/requirement through the delivery lifecycle.
• Perform spike/proof of concept as necessary to mitigate risk or implement new ideas.
• Code solutions and unit test to deliver a requirement/story per the defined acceptance criteria and compliance requirements.
• Assist team with resolving technical complexities involved in realizing story work.

Key Skills:

• Strong development skills in Python; Version 3+.
• In-depth understanding of the Python software development stacks, ecosystems, frameworks and tools such as Numpy, Scipy, Pandas, Dask, spaCy, NLTK, sci-kit-learn and PyTorch.
• Good programming skills including understanding of algorithms, data structures, design patterns and multi-threading.
• Experience with large scale, globally distributed systems with an emphasis on high availability.
• Experience with Agile development practices.
• Familiarity with database technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
