Software Engineering Manager

An instantly recognisable organisation in the technology sector is looking for a Software Engineering Manager.

This role will oversee development teams tasked with the creation and maintenance of high-scale technology products while fostering a culture of technical excellence.

What You'll Be Doing

• Leading, coaching, and managing large teams of software engineers to build high-performing squads.
• Overseeing the development and maintenance of core technology products and distributed systems.
• Navigating and simplifying complex technical challenges across the engineering department.
• Driving engineering transformation initiatives to improve scalable architecture and reliability.
• Managing senior stakeholders and communicating technical roadmaps effectively.

What We're Looking For

• Proven experience managing software engineering teams within large, complex environments.
• A strong technical background in Java, JavaScript, and cloud platforms such as Azure or GCP.
• Experience delivering consumer-facing products with both frontend and backend awareness.
• Expertise in scalable architecture, system performance, and modern engineering practices.
• A flexible approach to hybrid working and a background in contract-based delivery.
