Summary: The Software Engineer role focuses on leading the orchestration, design, and delivery of complex product initiatives for a prominent UK insurance company. The position requires a hands-on technical leader to drive architectural excellence and mentor engineers throughout the development lifecycle. The role emphasizes expertise in AWS serverless architectures and back-end development using Python, alongside front-end implementation with Angular. This is a 6-month contract based in London, requiring two days a week on-site work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Guide development teams with hands-on expertise in AWS serverless architectures (Lambda, API Gateway, DynamoDB, Step Functions, S3, SNS/SQS, Cognito, etc.).
• Actively contribute to back-end development using Python, ensuring best practices in clean code and performance optimization.
• Support front-end architecture and implementation using Angular, ensuring a seamless and scalable user experience.
• Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure as code (IaC), and deployment automation practices.

Key Skills:

• Solid experience in software engineering, with significant exposure to technical leadership and architecture.
• Proven expertise in AWS serverless architectures, including hands-on experience with key services.
• Strong proficiency in Python for backend development.
• Experience building scalable front-end applications using Angular.
• Solid Solution Design Experience.
